Peppermint Spritzer
I have slow and weak digestion and often have a bloated, upset stomach. My favorite way to quickly ease this is to make a peppermint spritzer. I simply put a drop or two of peppermint oil in a glass, add ice, and then pour in carbonated water or club soda. The bubbles seem to help with the bloating and the peppermint helps with the digestion. Plus, it tastes very clean and refreshing.

Remedy for Motion Sickness
My sister suffered from motion sickness and any kind of trip became a nightmare for her until an old sailor suggested for her to take a level teaspoon of “powdered ginger” the morning of the scheduled trip, and every couple of hours during the trip. Later, when she had access to fresh ginger root, she chewed on slivers of that during her travels. It really works. |

Cabbage Leaves for Gout
When you buy a cabbage do not throw the outer leaves away, instead put them in a zip lock bag and store them in the freezer. Once the pain of the gout starts, apply a frozen cabbage leaf to the area and cover with a dry towel. Leave in place until the leaf thaws out and repeat. There is an enzyme in the cabbage that draws out the chrystallized forms of uric acid from around the affected area. |
