Americans are struggling with the rising costs of health insurance and health care. Millions are finding it increasingly difficult to afford the coverage they have, meaning that they are less likely to receive appropriate care. And those who have little to no insurance suffer far worse medical outcomes. That is why preventing heart disease and stroke is a smart investment for our healthcare dollars.
Health care reform in the United States will not be complete unless it provides the best, most appropriate and affordable care for all Americans – including those with heart disease and stroke.
